I find Tasha's transphobia argument rather off. Bad things happen to good characters in Gaimen's fiction all the time, and sometimes there isn't a metaphor, even in a heavily symbolic piece like Sandman. If I were to feel the need to nail Wanda's arc down, I'd say her death's narrative function was to inspire Barbie…
