Sucks
Great independent label. Fantastic Damage (especially), Labor Days, and The Cold Vein were some of my favorite hip-hop records of the first part of the decade.

Hard album to evaluate
It locks you into such a specific feeling, both temporally and emotionally. The songs don't have the memorable hooks of Midlake's last two albums, and after feeling slightly frustrated for spending most of the album in a holding pattern you realize it's exactly what the band wants. On the second

no disagreement there, big fan.

say what you will about Django, his studio put out some crucial shit in the late 90s-early 00s. Especially both Vics.

Tubby/Scientist fans:
One of my favorites is Ranking Dread in Dub. A side is KT mixing Sly & Robbie, and B side is Scientist w/Roots Radics.

White people
"white people, and especially white people in the United States, are about as good at dub as they are at reggae"

Utterly terrible.
Best thing I've read in a while. Thanks, Rabin.

Actually, Kaufman's Clifton was pretty crude and mean-spirited. I don't know where you got that.

The most consistent band in rock.
One great album after another. It gets a little old, really.

Surprised absolutely no commenters like Pink Mountaintops
That album was phenomenal. I personally thought this was a very good year.

More eargasm:
Eargasm is the name of a fairly interesting Johnnie Taylor album I have.

There is some great stuff on here…
And I understand that 50 is a small number for an entire decade of movies, but the absence of a few in particular was upsetting.

Two of my favorites:
Spiritualized - "No God Only Religion" and "Electric Mainline."

Little Miss Sunshine
I agree with the prior poster about LMS.

Deathmonkey, thank you for being the only one to notice the Fellow fail.

The Bourne Redundancy

The title
Is it just me, or is it hilariously similar to Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season?

The Bourne Legitimacy?
I really don't see much of a difference other than Damon being able to talk to the government people without being shot at. In other words, sign me up.

I rather like the familiar gauzy gurgles.
Makes for a comfortable and appealing (almost womb-like) counterpoint to the tension and paranoia. I've always thought the delicate balance between the two is a big part of what makes Cox's stuff so great. I say keep the gauze and the gurgling.

This review could have used
more description of what the game is like. It was very vague. I finished the review having no idea what kind of game it is, RPG or Guitar Hero-style, or whatever. All I know is that you roam the continent with your "axe."
