Or how many he turned into jello and pudding.

I'll give it a chance, but remember Pan Am? Turned out to be exactly as mediocre, wannabe high brow as its promos made it out to be.

Surprised to see such a glowing review. I've been seeing ads for it nonstop and it screams ABC MEDIOCRITY.

The AV Club's quality has gone sideways over the last two years and I can't say there are any silver linings to fall back on. Perhaps the descendants of Rabin, Phipps, and Tobias (the Three Kings, as they were known) will turn things around or inside out, but right now they're flirting with disaster.

Broad City is the Comedy Central show everyone should be raving about, not that trash Nathan For You.

I got a This is CNN tagline for THIS??

The world is going to end on the AV Club??

"problematic hegemonic masculinity" is such a weird critique of, HELLO, an action star's action movies. This would be like saying the same thing about Kurt, Arnold, and Bruce, but no one would because their movies are beloved. Complain about the prevailing machismo inherent in the genre itself if you must.

My resolution is to spend some more time at the AV Club. I keep forgetting to, but then again the site sucks now so…

This seems like bullshit. "People respect money"? What the hell does that even mean? Everyone getting respect artistically is making money for someone?

Absofuckinlutely.

Put another way, your last paragraph is bang on in a fair world but in the context of the resource-challenged world we live in it's cold comfort for people who must do and accomplish certain things just to survive or be accepted. They can't just rest on having tried and accepting what they do have.

Good comment, although I have a hard time accepting "just be more positive" advice when so many things are wrong with your life that are truly insurmountable. Like would you say this to a destitute person with nothing to live for and nothing keeping them going but fear of death? This advice is a privilege in itself.

I think the underlying point from the "the planet is fucked" people is "humans are fucked" and we totally are.

I got a beema predictably trolling a 'Community' article notification for this?

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: The Album (2000)

This should be about as good as the US "Death at a Funeral"

You mean first three years right?

Why do you hate me and Jesus!
