It's my critical opinion. Did it ever feel to you like the end possibly being near for them was a factor in the episode or in the back of their minds influencing what they do and say? Like there was something in the balance and it might be lost?

I have read your comment several times now and re-viewed the episode for details but I can't see what you are seeing. Besides the very basic logical assumption that Abed is doing this because the end is nigh there is no true THEMATIC driving force behind his actions. The motivation for him appears to be the checklist…
Yes yes yes! Giving this a Like wasn't enough.
What? Abed doesn't know he's on a TV show.
I actually took the time to watch that 'New Girl' episode mentioned in the first paragraph that the Internet can't stop talking about and I can't fathom how anyone could like that garbage, let alone compare it to this episode that I didn't even like.
Bizarro AV Club
Never mind; I don't care.
His graduation gift for Jeff is to completely miss the point of what their group's relationship for the last 4 years?
It went unspoken because it's not there. Guided by a thirst for pop culture hijinks, his only goal is to prove they were destined to meet in a certain way, which is blasphemous enough, and he's clueless of the effect that would have. Even worse, he turned out to be right. Plus they should all know by now that they…
This is not any other show. Don't you get tired of making excuses for this?
We all did, we all did.
They ruined Abed. He wouldn't be doing any of this just for pop culture kicks. If he does this story, it would be spurred on by something going on in his life or something he wants to understand better.
So in other words it's a pointless story. Who cares how they crossed paths.
Annie is supposed to scream EVERYONE'S A ROBOT as she runs through the glass door.
Because they're so "damaged" they have to tell everyone about it.
It's Ann with Jerry's baby. She got a bit too desperate before she decided on Chris. DRAMAAAAA.
They ARE reusing old ones and running them through the mud. Or they're trying to bring closure to open stories and failing with those. I can't list any good new ideas from this season, can you?
Hehe, live action then.
Love it myself as a real life 'The Incredibles'
Fine but Downey Jr. shouldn't quit his gay job
Her and Russell's tense scenes were among the best the show had to offer.
