It's not bad, it's perfectly fine, though most of it is due to the aforementioned soundtrack and a seriously bangin' cast. (Glenn Close, Jeff Goldblum, Kevin Kline, William Hurt! Kevin Costner's hairline!)

Yeah, I saw them live when I was in high school (early aughts), the Old Friends tour I believe it was.
Me too! I saw it on the IFC website, but it was labeled as just a clip or something. After I watched it, I saw that there was another video labeled Episode 1, which was the actual premiere, the festival episode, so I watched that. I figured this episode was just some kind of one-off teaser for the entire season, or…
I'm slightly embarrassed at how much that show inspired me to bake. I made seven or eight different kinds of cookies at Christmas, including macarons.
I was already planning on rewatching the Emma Thompson/Ang Lee/Rickman Sense and Sensibility tonight, since I just finished reading the book last night. (Quite good, not at same level as P&P obviously, and Elinor can really come off as a holier-than-thou goody two shoes on the page.)

Who had high hopes for 2016?
"Lazarus" from Blackstar did it for me.
Ahh, that shot where he just swivels around in his chair and there's a piano there…just kills me every time.

Aw, I love a good overture.
The last thing I saw more than once in theaters was Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. (The first one. That's the full title, right?) I think it was because I had friends who hadn't seen it, and I really liked it! The first one was great.
People are forgetting series 1.
I almost always add peanut butter to oatmeal. Dates and/or sliced bananas are excellent additions, especially if added while oatmeal cooks, so they get all mushy and melty and sweetening. Chopped nuts or fresh apple for texture! There's no way of knowing whether Steven Avery is guilty or not!
If my boyfriend bought me a car I think I would cry (with happiness) no matter what it was. He doesn't give gifts. At least, not to me.
It sounded exactly like me scolding the cat for scratching furniture or attacking the TV.
God, those "undercover" outfits…they looked like they were about to pose for one of those stupid family portraits where everyone wears the same clothes.
I thought it was funny when so many commenters got so worked up about the UFOs in the early episodes of the season. The general consensus seemed to be "If the UFOs are 'real,' it will RUIN THE SHOW!!" This baffled me. I loved the UFO references, but decided to bide my time until the inevitable payoff and resulting 180…
You can stuff your sorries in a sack, mister!
"Constance Heck" was great; this show is good with the names.
