Maybe Flea's Edward Van Halen tape broke

"Ever since I've been spelling 'Billion' with an 'M'"

What a fantastic line. In Season 3, Erlich needs to host a music start-up, solely so he can opine on various artists. Or, have Russ/Erlich be judges at a Battle of the Bands competition.

What doors are to Mad Men, windows are to Rectify.

This album rules, and the deep cuts are equal to the well-known singles. Snoop's flow is perfect, and Dre is on fire with the beats.

That Deep Cover beat is timeless…sounds just as bad-ass today as it did ~20 years ago.

Shut it down - you win the Internet today.

I re-read this review for the additional insights contained in the full version.

This episode was a victory lap for Peggy Olsen reaction shots.

Great throwaway line there

Agreed - that scene described Don's situation so elegantly.

Yeah, those people are wrong and should feel bad about being wrong.

Thematic perfection.

Another winner - that vocal fill in "Magic America" is my favorite of Blur's.

"End of a Century" is one of those perfect indie-pop songs: incredibly catchy, concise, clever lyrics, and seamless.

Ron Livingston needs a cameo as one of Big Head's relatives. The two are kindred spirits.

Excellent line, excellent delivery. Immediately one of my favorite jokes from Children's Hospital, up there with the "yeah, attics are super sexy" line.

This episode utilized light/dark contrast more than I can recall on Mad Men, even beyond the lights literally going out on SC&P:

Yes: Peggy, in shades, strutting in to her new job holding Cooper's picture outward.

I'm convinced that "This guy fucks!" is the best possible introduction to another guy. Who wouldn't be flattered by that greeting?
