Well said. I'm catching up on this one (having just caught up on Rectify), and totally agree about the tonal similarities.

Excellent choice, and the first in a series of perfect album-closing songs from Radiohead
It's a radical anti-comedy!
Yes, that's the one…not a fan, despite the fact that I like both artists
I checked on Wikipedia…I agree, more than "modest acclaim"
I so want this to be true
I think the more interesting list (though, potentially shorter) is when a Kanye collaboration didn't really work.
Breath In Breath Out is awesome - no need to qualify it.
It's definitely "Drunk and Hot Girls" Come on, Mos Def, you guys did "Two Words"!
Plus, every time an actor from "Everybody Hates Chris" appears on TV, an angel gets its wings
Loved it. When Winston gets a win, the viewers get a win.
Netflix / On Demand should do the trick
Just did the same, and can't wait for Season 3
Well said. The Daniel debrief is going to play *so* much better on Netflix without a commercial interruption. Young gave a mesmerizing performance.
Ha! This is the toughest grading curve on AV Club. This show is up there in the Mad Men / Breaking Bad tier, and yet a cursory glance at the grades would place it a notch below.
Good call.
Agreed. Rectify did a great job using Tawney's college search as a marriage metaphor and a narrative bookend: it was the last thing she and Teddy discussed before the pregnancy, and the first thing we see her doing out of the haze (not that she would have fully processed the miscarriage…)
This was one of the most enjoyable Random Roles ever - great read.
Yes, Broadchurch was excellent.
1) Kendrick expresses duality so well throughout the album, both lyrically and musically, in "Art of Peer Pressure" and "M.A.A.D. City". But then, holy shit, right near the end of the album, Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst is a work of art.
