I posted a comment on this (but I don't see it) - but basically, I always thought that Deb dating older and unavailable men tied back to her daddy issues, and was not related to her supposed feelings for her brother. It just bugs me how this psychiatrist would overlook that as a possibility, and go straight

Thanks for that clarification. Anytime we criticize, we should be open to criticism as well. But I would argue, it still doesn't make it any less stupid on Dexter's part. :)

I'll concede that it's plausible that she could have these feelings. I'm not saying it's impossible or unbelievable. I guess I just feel like they didn't do enough of a good job developing this over multiple season's. At least to me, it felt like it came out of no where this season. Just think back to the first 4

He's Arthur Mitchell's son, that was conceived with a hooker that Brian Moser killed, and now he wants to just kick it with Dexter.

So out of boredom, anyone want to take a stab at what Louis is? I mean, it's clear he's I. On to Dexter (as he sent him the ITK's hand) II. A sociopath himself (I think?)

Hahah, yep. So Dexter's sickness can come back when the plot conveniently needs it. But he can miraculously recover when..well, the plot needs it.

My mistake (I missed what weapon he had on him). I guess my issue wasn't so much with the weapon he had, as much as I felt the way he approached the boat so openly, and under the dark was a bit ludicrous. I just felt it was so reckless of him, given he knew Dexter would be hiding to get the jump on him.

I know this is too much to write for a show like Dexter (in its current state). But I feel like going on a rant. So warning, TLDR post below:

It's just an extremely diverse show too. How he's able to make a show that is funny, gut wrenching, artful and inspiring is mind blowing to me. But I just found myself completely moved by Louie in so many ways. For me, it's the first comedy in a long time that has had serious drama elements to it (and has found a way

Can this man do no wrong? Seriously, Louis C.K. has become my favorite person right now. And thing is, it's not like the guy is trying too hard or being obnoxiously in your face everywhere. He just keeps delivering the goods. Love it.

I stopped watching Chuck in season 4. I wasn't sure if the show was getting worse, or if I was just getting burnt out on it. I've always kind of felt that a show like Chuck can only be on for so long, before its style would start to wear thin. Thankfully (and I mean this genuinely), the show is ending after 5 seasons.

Just wanted to say thanks for writing these reviews. I know they might not always get a huge amount of replies (in comparison to other stuff). But I always read them, and believe they are great companion pieces to a classic. I grew up with Twilight Zone (no, I'm not old lol). But rather, my parents used to tell me

Ah I guess I'm alone on this one. I personally thought the first 4 episodes of Season 2 were pretty slow. But then it really kicked it up once the show warmed up. *shrugs*

Great episode to go out on. I know this season hasn't been hitting home runs right out of the gate. But I still think overall, it was enjoyable with some really incredible moments/episodes. And it's not like each season of Community doesn't take its time to get going. Season Two started off pretty slow, and didn't

Consequence of Sound = One Thirty BPM? I think your link is wrong.

Totally. I actually think it's pretty funny if the writers wanted to do purgatory all along, but then couldn't since everyone guessed it in season 1. But in the end were still able to pull off the story they wanted, and still surprise people (for better or for worst).

I have not seen those. Should I make a point to? Great series overall?

I'm only 2 days late on this. But I couldn't agree more. the Camp review came off extremely petty and elitist. I know Pitchfork was sort of built on that, but it's just a turn off. I always feel like when a critic trashes something gleefully, they come off as stroking their own egos. Like: oh goody, I have an album I

Here's the thing though. Thematically, I totally get Jacob and Man In Black. In the greater themes of the show, it made sense to me. But, I feel like it also owed the audience a physical plot line that delivered. I don't know if that makes sense?

Oh I loved early Dexter. My comment was referring to this season and I guess last season, now that I think about it.
