Exactly, I was just going to say, it's not 90-10 by a long shot. Watson's storylines just don't hold my attention. Whether it's the writers or whatever doesn't matter to me, because I don't experience it as a lack, as the reviewer so clearly does. At best her relationship with Holmes is interesting to me, but I have

"However, since the first season, Elementary largely defaults to
Sherlock as the primary POV character; he gets such a disproportionate
amount of emotional involvement in other things (family, romance, This
Time It’s Personal cases, friends from his life before the partnership)"

This is a fabulous review. She picked up on lots of stuff I missed, made relevant connections — first time in awhile I didn't feel more exasperated than interested in a review.

I don't get to watch Elementary that much, unless I download it later, so I haven't really been disappointed when I do get a chance. I was actually very surprised that Holmes big reveal was that he was hurt — I would call it hurt, not "resentful" — and it was very touching. Two people who aren't very good at

Maybe Dennis is missing the forest for the trees. I've never liked Scarlett Johanssen before, now I'm a total convert. Maybe because coming off the heels of Octavia Spencer I appreciated more when an actress works in the format. She didn't stumble, she had actual characters, she even had a comedy scene live with a dog

I know he's probably made some poor choices, but I think Nicholas Brendon's career also drives it home how much luck and timing plays into it. He had some really good performances in Buffy, he's clearly a fine actor. But I really got the impression that Joss Whedon didn't like him. I remember Television Without Pity

I read that as a parody.

That geography metaphor is pretty laboured. I can't make any sense out of it.

It's a great story now, nobody will forget how Moonlight won. Speeches would have been nice but how great that everyone handled it so well. That's my takeaway.

It's very realistic, though, that it seems like your boyfriend is finally doing everything right for the new girlfriend.

Me too.

When you put it that way, it does seem unfair…

Seriously? So what if he's in China. We all know what Trump supporters are. 47 percent, the percentage is burned into our brain. That's the percentage that likes Trump's anti-Muslim ban. It's the world's business to know what he's up to, especially anyone who travels. Your ignorance isn't universal. Believe it or not,

Carlton on speed! Who can blame them, it writes itself.

Re title — exactly. Great article. I don't know all these sitcoms, but I stopped keeping up with You're the Worst because of such serious storylines. I want to turn off my head for half an hour, not feel bad because I'm feeling irritated, not compassionate, about a television character. Character development, not

MTM shows were way better than Norman Lear's. I always found his shows too preachy.

It's nice to see Brenden Fraser get some love.

There was a missed opportunity. It's kind of baffling, that was a brilliant interpretation of the original character. And she was all booked in to clean the house twice a week.

Some people aren't happy till they see you cry.

I hate these reviews. You don't have to love a show to review it, but I think you need an open mind. It's not like you have to have lunch with these characters, or split the rent with them.
