Oops, I accidentally upvoted this, and I don't agree with the "worst actress" remark.

In the first season they spelled out that it's really hard to break into journalism now, and I think an editor at a London paper advised him to stay where he was as he was getting great training under the editor in Broadchurch and he'd only be doing press releases and advertorials at the city paper.

The last word was pretty weak as a position (if we're talking about Diane's client saying he didn't like politicians taking a different position than they did initially) and I was disappointed that it seemed to confound Diane. There's a very good argument to be made about transformative moments when politicians come

What an angry review. I don't enjoy reading a review like this, I feel like I'm being badgered. Complaining about a law show having scenes with white, heterosexual males seems like, maybe you should watch another show. I liked the law scenes. I was uncomfortable when Diane talked about the law being personal, because

Does it say anywhere it was in a few hours? Time on a sitcom is worthy of an essay. It might have been months later.

She's loyal, that's an endearing quality. And she's protective of the guys in a crunch. Not always easy to see, it's true, but sometimes pretty overt. I'm going by catching sporadic episodes though. I actually like her drinking, her rowdiness is kind of hilarious in that package. That whole acting thing, I can't think

I just started watching this in January and right now it can do no wrong for me. I didn't like it when I caught glimpses of it, because I thought it was one of those Steve Urkel-type comedies. You really have to watch a few of them to get the charm. Some of the jokes are so old, they go back to vaudeville, I'm sure.

My thoughts exactly. It's like a 1,000-word essay on "my favourite show didn't win".

This is a really nice piece of writing. Thank you.

Yes, Myles, Joan has Too Many Clothes. Though I do enjoy seeing them, I haven't seen any closets, so I wonder where she puts them. I wonder a lot, actually.

I didn't feel that way about The Fall at all. I was very disappointed. It just made me wish I could watch Prime Suspect again instead. The Fall won't live up to its hype for everyone.

Penny and Leonard's relationship seems authentic to me, in that they're unlikely people who find they want to be with each other and it's gone through all these realistic stages. Like, Leonard had to learn to appreciate Penny as a person, and Penny came to see the value in someone who's a support. It sounds boring as

It's blue and grey, actually.

She was good in National Velvet. I don't care for most of her movies but I want to like her because it sounds like she was a great person. Plus, what a face.

The actor who played the boy in The Reader was amazing. I don't know if he got nominated or any awards but I never felt he got his due, with so much attention on Winslet. She was good, but it was kind of a blatant Oscar bid.

Is Amy always that unethical (running tests without telling Penny)?

That breakfast looks delicious.

I wish she hadn't cut it. Classic 30-something move, though usually it
means a divorce. Grow your hair back, Kaley! Fire your hairdresser.

Wives, man. They're the worst.

Nicholas Brendon has yet to fulfill his potential but I still have hopes for him. Kitchen Confidential sounds like one of a long line of things that should have worked out for him but didn't.
