Panelists who tell me to move it along when they are the reason the game has stopped become instant contenders for the Most Obnoxious Guests competition.
Yeah, I was bummed when I found out about the sound quality post show, but still wanted everyone to hear it. GK and that one dude's gf are the only two people I know of who thought it completely ruined the ep. Thanks for all your replies, y'all!
She's good at the game but it has evolved a lot on the show, and like most guests she doesn't listen to the show, so she can get confused by the rules.
I got lots of comments from folks on Twitter saying that the sound wasn't that bad on the Garlin ep. What say you, Podmassers? Did it deserve being in The Rest?
Weird. I mean, I like Matt and Howard too, but all the other guests have been just as good, IMO.
If you like the guests making fun of me, check out the Jeff Ross episode, because he gets so high that the only thing his mind can do is come up with roast jokes about my (normal) clothes and "spacement" set.
The focus certainly shifts week-to-week based on the guests, but the point of the show is to smoke weed on camera and to talk about it. I love that we get sidetracked, just like how the conversation switches away from movies sometimes on DLM, but the main idea was to finally give my pot smoking fans a weekly show…
I'll be back for sure!
If you think weed is no longer taboo then you aren't aware that we have been shut down twice during live shows (by being "flagged" by disapproving youtube viewers), and that marijuana is still illegal in the majority of US states. But the periods of silence, dopey humor and stories being sidetracked that you speak of?…
I've gotten more positive responses than negative ones about Bert's appearance last week. Some people really hate it though. They think he was doing a bit, or that he was too drunk, but that was just Bert being Bert. And I love it.
That other "recent guest" was actually criticized quite a bit. And she was also having fun on my show. She just does it more quietly.
Nothing negative about that.
Next time I need a review quote for DLM I'm going with this!
Have you seen how tiny the numbers are in the dates on the Leonard Maltin app? The 6 and the 8 are difficult to differentiate. But yes, I need reading glasses.
The couple of times he's been on he was quite a derailer (I know, not a word) but I agree that he is one of the funniest actors out there. I love his character of VERONICA MARS and can't wait for the movie!
My dream is to do a we-don't-give-a-shit-about-the-games ep with Tig, Natasha Leggero and… who else would you guys like to hear on that one? Maybe Ken Marino?
This week a writer figured out you could change it up and call a show "inessential."
At least you can respond to a comment in the next post, instead of being weirdly being placed later or earlier in the conversation.
It was a "you're wrong, dude" vibe. Because he was wrong. The Rufio dude is still a working actor, particularly in the voice over game. And Jimmy clearly was shocked by Kumail's jab right out of the gate, but eased into a more comfortable rapport with him as the show went on. Kumail does indeed know how to put on a…
