And "intends for this to be read as straight, but he leaves you room to read it as satire if you want" is as good a description of much of David Lynch's career as you'll find (especially Twin Peaks), so having Lynch play this arc's guru adds credence to this interpretation.

I'm rooting for Walt being horrible to sustain the drama. But I hate that man more than ever: "You want to take that away from me." Manipulative asshole.

I think JSS2 > JSS1 because the "reality" of the actors & crew dealing with Ingrid's realizations was just amazing, creating much more vivid drama than any "straight" reality show I've seen. The excitement of the show is not in how the Schmoes perceive the action & feel manipulated, but in watching the actors & crew

The Paley Center is making part of their collection available online for universities to subscribe to. It's not cheap, so I don't know how many have subscribed, but it's worth checking if any readers are affiliated with universities.

FYI - you don't have to be a TV scholar to view things at the Wisconsin Center for Film & Theater Research (which also includes a ton of TV & radio), but it is a "research collection" rather than a public viewing museum. It's worth a trip if you want to research such programs, and it's right next to the Memorial
