Speaking of Lost, the finale's twist was one that I don't think was predicted online, despite the world's most frantically theorizing fanbase. (I'm sure that many would say that's because the reveal was too stupid / inconsistent / unjustified to be predicted, but I still love it…)

Manatees. Gotta be manatees.

Does anyone know who Todd's boss is at The AV Club? Because we need to band together and petition him/her to set Todd free from his Ryan Murphy-related reviewing duties. Otherwise, we'll be reading along to a slow-motion nervous breakdown, kind of like Don Hertzfeldt's Rejected. And I don't want to be party to that…

Of television, no less!

It would be the most shocking twist in the history of television: they acknowledge the incest, revealing that the real reason George moved to the suburbs was that neighbors in NYC had called the authorities on them. At the end of the season, George and Tessa manage to escape again, relocating to rural Vermont to try

Are you really suggesting that we _rewatch_ 2 Broke Girls to understand its depths & nuances?

Todd - do you know the production timeline on this episode? When did new episodes begin production after the show started airing? That's often a threshhold where sitcoms can try to adjust to critical & fan reactions, looking beyond just network focus groups, and thus provide a good sense of how adept producers might

Yes - including a legendary scene of Chris Noth going down on Juliana Marguiles while listening to NPR.

He's Mr. Michelle Pfeiffer.

And you have just experienced what it's like to watch AHS!

Harry Morgan's cameo needs to have its own thread.

They did the Abed/Annie thing in season 2's paintball ep, with Abed channeling Han Solo - I loved that bit, but it wouldn't work with his character to be able to pull off a non meta romance, especially with Annie.

This is sort-of the premise of Wilfred, if Turk Scrubsier kept encouraging Todd to get baked all day.

If you listen to Todd's Television on the Internet podcast, you can hear the epic origin story of Turk Scrubsier. This review is even better if you imagine Todd's vocalization of Turk as you read it.

Well done, sir. Of course, your review is funnier than the show, so it undercuts your point…

I was thinking that she seemed like Alyson Hannigan's Lilly from HIMYM, ten years later.

Carrie Preston also had a great guest spot playing a nun in an episode of Wonderfalls (which was an excellent show too).

Gotta weigh in old school for Dragnet - you know, the Dum-da-Dum-Dum riff. It was actually the first TV theme to become a hit record (#2 on Billboard charts!), and it's so iconic that four notes stands in for an entire genre of no-nonsense crime procedural. Plus it was covered by The Art of Noise!

The first season is on DVD. I show the pilot in my Introduction to Television course - it's definitely more dated than many classic sitcoms, but still enjoyable.

Like Noel, I was around 7 when Soap was on & it was my forbidden TV show that I tried to convince my mother to let me stay up to watch. She told me it was because it was too late, but looking back I realize how risqué it was - I wouldn't let my 7-year-old watch it today!
