You must've missed the Halle Berry Catwoman where she could jump stories at a time.

She's great. Stop this hurtful bullying of the lovely Gal Gadot!

Huh? Gal Gadot is awesome! She's not a real enough actress for you?

I always love RJD as Iron Man, but SJ's scene with Loki may have been my favorite of the film.

I love the idea of Batman Babies where we only see Alfred's legs from the knee down.

Are we positive that this isn't going to be on CW?

I'm not saying that those films are a reason why a female superhero movie won't be successful, I'm saying they're a reason why studio execs are scared of dumping $100 million into a Wonder Woman movie. Studio execs probably think that female and male movie goers would rather see a regular but extraordinary girl be a

But we don't want to market to smart people!

You may not understand it, but it's a thing that happens. Some guys see anything with a female lead (actresses in action film, rock singers, etc) as nothing more as something for girls, too feminine for manly-men like themselves.

Wait, what? Such a confusing article. I'm all for more female superhero movies, but this data doesn't support any of your conclusions. You say superhero movies but only 2 superhero movies (Superman and Iron Man) are represented in the analysis. Hunger Games is a Young Adult/Fantasy title, similar to Harry Potter.

I'm starting to think that the AV Club is courting MRA commenters, since there seems to be an article every day about this issue.

Well worth the time and energy spent.

    Ugh, that's awful.

Investors don't care about how much money you've made already, they should care about how much MORE you'll make. King doesn't seem to have much of a plan beyond "people will keep playing Candy Crush".

The people who saw Electra and Catwoman BOMB?

    ALVIN!

Ya know, eventually we're going to have to prove to investors how we're going to make money.

Maybe King can just change the time on their phone to get the 15% back.

    ??

I say the same thing about rap. Kanye and Jay-Z? *groan* Wu-Tang? YES.
