an LMD has to pass for whomever they are supposed to be, so if you wuold expect Coulson to have a scar, you would make the LMD with a scar. The same reason Fury's LMD's don't have two working eyes.

You know there is a problem with having other Sheild agents come into the show. If Coulson's resurection is being kept a secret, you automatically have to have every character who comes in contact with him be a level seven.
