I suppose what you see as underwritten I see as, quiet communciation. That a character isn't talking doesn't mean that she's not communicating volumes, and to me at least, that seems to be what the actress is doing. It might not be the intention of the writer, but it certainly works for me.

Really, this was the best episode yet, and in my Opinion Ming-Na Wen is just owning this show with her silent observer status. It amazes me how much she can communicate in the chaos of this world without saying anything at all. She was truly well matched with Pascale's character and I would love to see more of

I would have to disagree, Chuck Lorre's sitcoms, while certainly prone to low brow humour always work to subvert and reimagine the common tropes of situation comedies.  It is that estranged familiarity that gives them their popularity.  TBBT in particular starts with a fairly easy trope, (wacky next door neighbors,

You know, if they go the Kathy Bates Route for Penny's mom, they can do something that this sitcom does enjoy doing, playing a trope and then subverting it by ongoing focus on it.   The Trope ofcourse is presenting the hot girls mom as fat and unattractive, and suggest that the fat mom was once the super hot

Assuming that the Ark was really an instrument of the Hebrew God, and not jsut an Alien artifact (like the Chrystal Skull) that left behind by unthinking aliens and misinterpreted as magical by the ancient Isrealites.  In truth, the only reason that indy survived the face melting was because he closed his eyes when

Well, if it makes you feel anybetter, there is the possibility that all the magic we've seen in the Indy series was just alien technology misunderstood by ancient people to be the work of gods.  So there you go, a reason to actually not be mad about the existence of the Chrystal Skull installment, it provides doubt

In truth, both Raj and Stewart are only hamstrung by thier own awkwardness.  What is interesting is that earlier Stewart was a bit more confident (even to the point of almost bagging Penny himself, before Sheldon blocked him with incessent Joe Chill questioning) but over the years likely due to the the failure of his

Well, then he gave it to the one nation that would be dismissive of the Ark's power, as well as eventually be in posession of a weapon more powerful than anything else on earth.  It's possible the "top men", did begin to seek a method to unlock the Ark's power, but once Openheimer and the crew cracked the Atom, the

Well if you want a reason, that fits into the logic of the universe, as Indy represented the defender of the Ark, the Ark protected him in the frigid water, just as the power of his god protected Daniel in the Lions den.   If we imagine that Indy at some point in his adventures became "the chosen one" then it makes

Ahh but the problem is that Sheldon isn't versed in story (hence why he never noticed the flaws in any of his beloved comics or movie) so even if there was a glaring plot hole in the book, he wouldn't notice, he'd be too taken by the glamour of the exciting romatic tale.  Hence, when he does "take down" Little House

I'm begining to think she is not a very good psychologist.  In fact it seems her entire career was going nowhere before Leonard was born and she decided to torment him as material for her books.  You never hear about her other published works, except for the paper on her husband and herslef opted to only have sex for

In later releases, once it became a franchise it was dubbed Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.  It's sort of like the Episode IV issue.  the original Star Wars doesn't denote it as such, but treats it as a single self contained film (which it was).  Its only after Empire, when the multi film aspect of the

Which of course is very old testiment, the weaker Isrealites triumph over the more powerful enemy because of the power of the god they follow.  The real glaring plot hole in the story is why Nazis would have been interested in "jewish" mysticism at all, it being (in their minds) less powerful than Aryian Mysticism.

Personally I would love to see Leonard's father come to this show at some point (preferably played by Jon Lithgow, but we'll take what we can get) and get his whole perspective on the story.  It seems like perhaps he was as ill treated by his wife as Leonard was by his mother.

that was the best line of the episode to be sure.

Growing up, it's hard to do.  That is the theme of tonights episode, and really all of the best episodes of TBBT.  What we see are men who still see relationships as largely transactional. Scales of emotion are to be balanced, tit for tat, like a school yard beef, and comfort is to extracted from ones partner through

So part of me wants to talk about the episode, and part of me wants to talk about Raiders of the Lost Ark.  In the end, the boys are on to something regarding the locking of the ark away, even if that was not Indy's intention, it is important to the world that the wrath of God not be released by unthinking men upon

LMD's are artificial organic machines, similar to the vision or human torch.  They are designed to mimic everything a human does as much as possible, so yes, if you prick one they will leak.

It's possible, that he was singling out the EU, as an issue, even though Malta is part of it.  I'm not sure on all the rules on EU treaties, but I do believe there is still a great ammount of autonomy for each nation, so they might be EU members but have blocked SHIELD from their borders.

Actually the muscle memory thing might suggest that Coulson is a Clone, rather than an LMD.  Really the Rusty line, like the Magical line, I'm starting to think are just there to throw people off the scent.  The very fact that the clues aren't very subtle suggests that they are bing put infront of us to make us think
