MOONRISE KINGDOM is more depressing in that it's nowhere near as good as people are saying.

All the characters on ALWAYS SUNNY definitely evolved over the next few seasons, so that they had their own individual horrible personalities, but if you flat-out don't find it funny, you'll probably still not enjoy it.

But I'm very sure that in shows like THE LEAGUE and ALWAYS SUNNY that we are not approving of their behavior. We are acknowleding that they are hilarious, awful people. Which I find fun.

Totally legitimate question here: I keep seeing people say they can't enjoy some sort of entertainment, because the characters are horrible people. I want to know why. Yeah, when those episodes aired years ago I felt the tinge that "Maybe these guys are loudmouths with incoherent political views." Maaaan, was I right as the years went on. I can't stand their Libertarian gibberish nonsense episodes. They're best when they're being absurdist, or attacking celebrities for no reason.

The fact that you rage-quit something as transcendent as TOY STORY and even consider 50 Shades of FUCKING Grey *anything* worthy of conversation in popular culture (derisive or not) speaks volumes about your taste.

I just read that for the first time the other day and both stories are enjoyable. I only knew of Bane's origin from summaries, but reading the actual story added so much more.
