I don't know what this headline is implying, I see a LOT of noms for "Breaking Bad", "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Louie" on here. What the hell else do you need to legitamize the awards for you? "Community" was never going to get a nod, because it's not to everyone's taste, regardless of how rampantly we all love it.

That's because it is goddamn fantastic.

Alright everyone, I'm bored at work, so let's rate your favorite Batmen!

Because Ramirez was a crooked cop in the movie. The same reason they turned the obviously Harvey Bullock influenced cop in BEGINS and combined him with Flass from "Batman: Year One".

You make good points, which is my "Batman: The Animated Series" is still the best interpretation of the character ever. It hits the sweet spot between adult and facile kids stuff.

Here's the thing: there's a BIG difference between pandering to children (which is what those Prince Joffrey scenes in BEGINS are) and just being fun. Batman can, and SHOULD, be fun in his next installment. Even the Burton movies were fun. Just because they had dark lighting and Dutch angles doesn't mean they were

The only celibate Batman is the 80s/90s near psychotic asshole that Frank Miller helped create. LUCKILY, people like Morrison moved him away from that in the 2000s, back to the barrel-chested adventurer with a dark side that Denny O'Neil perfected in the 70s. That guy fucks like crazy. And he loves the bad girls.

I've been collecting those artist inspired Batman hardcovers and the Jim Aparo one features all Bob Haney "Brave and the Bold" comics from the early 70s. Talk about bizarre comics. And I love them to death.
