I still like Spider-Man 3 until the third -rushed- act. It's very clear Raimi wasn't really interested in Venom. And why should he be? Venom is emblematic of the stupid shit that happened to comics in the late 80s/early 90s.

@Larry Indiana I have read his stuff really recently. I agree it would be hard to translate that style over to film, but that's why I would kill for it. If someone out there wa able to do it well, I would love them.

You're not wrong there at all. None of these Marvel movies REALLY get the voice right, because none of them are aping Stan's voice. I'd kill for a movie that did that well, somehow.

I love the Raimi movies, but man I would still watch Darkman over those too. That thing is a filmed comic book if there ever was one.
