Spend some time in Brooklyn and your attitude about them being fun to hang around will change quickly enough.

This is the biggest problem with the podcast, and the MaxFun world in general. Their pseudo-hipster/yupster/whatever-the-fuck fanbase. It's almost insufferable to listen to them think they are funny with their worthless lives and self-important jobs. Hodgman makes it bearable though.
