I'm an unabashed Brookerite, and I think his non-fiction peaked a while back. The writing was on the wall when he met Aisleyne and she turned out to be funny and nice. You can't sling the kind of shit he got famous for slinging when you meet them. And he can't go after the middle class either like he did because he's

I like the more intimate stuff, but I don't like The Entire History of You. I think it just escalates way too quickly. I get that that's kind of the point, that the Memory Grain is supposed to be the reason why it accelerates so quickly, but IMO it just leaves Liam looking like a possessive, crazy asshole. Even though

I like Fifteen Million Merits because even though the ending is pretty derivative, it also seems really personal for Brooker.

To be fair, The Waldo Moment was originally written in 2004 for a 2005 TV Show, and was sort of directly meant to respond to Ali G. Brooker and Morris couldn't make it work. Clearly the idea stuck with him though.

Most Brooker fans like Fifteen Million Merits better. It was co-written by Brooker and his wife (TV Presenter Kanak "Konnie" Huq) and a lot of it seems to be a meditation on the way that the TV Industry works. White Bear is probably the high point of the series. Be Right Back is heart-breaking and honest in a way most

I think that's true of a lot of creators regardless of their sex. New 52 blows.

AJE is different from AJA though, which carries some of the content but is more "americanized" ala MSNBC and CNN in order to compete in the same markets. If you've got a smartphone the best way to view's probably with the AJE smartphone app.

I know this is an ancient post, but you can get AJE online for free without cable.

I know this is ancient comment-wise, but Mad Larry has genuine mental health issues and Moffat bullied the shit out of him over multiple meetings in pubs for spergy behaviour like having Bagpuss merch.

Only kids give that much of a shit about birthdays, and if you still do after you're past your teen years… I kinda hate to break it to you, but you're a manchild unless it's a major one like turning 30 or 40 or 50 or so on.

Does he also give payoffs to the other sites that give him great reviews?

It's probably bobbing in a void somewhere, alongside Charles Nelson Reilly.

Panel shows actually used to be… if not common, then more common in America than they are today. A couple of 'em lasted more than twenty years in the fifties, sixties and seventies before dying out due to the fact that the ratings had tanked but the prices commanded by the permanent panelists had gotten unjustifiably

I liked her music when she was more willing to be weird. Her first disc had a lot of promise, especially the reissue. It was an interesting concept album, and I liked the videos. Then she did some okay nostalgia pop. Which wasn't great, but it was worth listening to since she does a way better Madonna than Madonna

I'm gonna go with her last disc being awful then, because there's no way I'm growing as a person.

Can't be. I'm not Jimmy Carter OR marge.

I can't help it. I just like to shower my own body, put on my own clothes, and style my own hair. I'm a monster.

Shit. I knew that'd catch up with me sooner or later.

There was a time when I would've watched this in spite of the Muppets because I liked Lady Gaga. But now I'll watch this in spite of Lady Gaga because I like The Muppets.

The thing about Polanski is that his films are undeniably beautiful and amazing, and his life is undeniably tragic, but he did kind of rape a child and flee the country to get out of the rap for that.
