First
one is the best, the others will probably die soon.

I'm always amused
when American music writers apply American-sourced genre tags to non-American bands. The term "twee" grew out of the PNW indie pop scene, specifically around bands such as Beat Happening, and was suddenly overused by the press to describe anything that wasn't "balls out rock."

I can't believe the ease of getting firsties in this place!
People like that should be put to sleep!

And I see Crackity beat me to the punch by five minutes. Oh well, still stands.

Pixies - Complete 'B' Sides
Sure, it's nowhere near as consistent as any of their albums, but what b-sides collection ever is? Plus, the Doolittle-era tracks, especially "Manta Ray," the UK Surf version of "Wave of Mutilation," and "Into the White" are absolute gems and among their best songs.

Digital vs. Analog
Glad to read that part about an anonymous analog enthusiast not recognizing that the album was recorded digitally. Such a stupid debate; if you're a good producer, chances are you can make it sound good regardless of the format.
