I distinctly remember reading an issue of MAD that did a parody of Joe. It was called, "Schmoe."  Wikipedia tells me that they did it in 1971 so I must have read the magazine at somebody's house years later.

Sean Penn is directing De Niro in a movie called "The Comedian" which according to the tag line on IMDB is "A look at the life of an aging insult comic." However De Niro is also listed as a producer and when he gets a producer credit the picture is usually pretty weak.

It wasn't the trailer, it was a TV spot.

Well he greatly overplayed his hand by getting involved with the Golden Globes.  There was that.

The Alan Partridge movie, Alpha Papa, has received great reviews and has done big business in the UK so Gervais can smell the money (and relevance).

As soon as I hear this song I am taken right back to high school parties with the scent of clove cigarettes in the air and all the girls drinking California Coolers.

I can spot uber-hack Father Guido Sarducci lurking in the back of the Rappin' Rodney video.

But considering the payoff, which is the semblance of a normal life, perhaps such a trade-off is worth it.

As ever, she is cute and her music absolutely sucks.  Also Danica McKellar is almost 40 years old.

But unfortunately as art, Achorman falls just a notch below Life and Fate. Just a notch.

Its completely idiotic because anyone who has ever filmed anything knows that you don't film someone in front of a clock or moving image because it will mean that you cannot seamlessly edit the footage - even if it is just an innocent edit for time - without the viewer being aware of the edit.

He edited film to push a story he BELIEVES is true.
