The New Essayists, or the Decline of a Form?

Wonderful film and it contains one of my favorite shots in the movies. It is the scene where the little boy is seemingly suspended in mid air while talking through a second story window until the cut reveals that he is standing on top of a horse drawn hay wagon.

Tree of Life lost me when Malick tried to make us believe that the coupling of Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain had produced Sean Penn.

They got Jackie Robinson's voice all wrong.  Check out Robinson speaking on You Tube and you'll hear him speak in a voice that is almost like Jerry Lewis' Julius Kelp.
