I read it and thought it read fine but its acclaim has always surprised me.

I'm a fan and readily admit that I have to take breaks from the show every few weeks. Tom can be a bit grating as a host sometimes but Im always pleased by the bits with Wurster when I come back to it.

Chris Ware overrated as a writer
Love his art but I feel Chris Ware's writing is pretty one-note. Sad doesn't equal deep. Still, one helluva artist.

I stopped watching it during the beginning of the second season but have tuned in a bit this season and the show seemed to be back on track. Is the second season a worthy addition to my netflix?

Is it anything like Greek?
Though I haven't watched it with any regularity since the first season, I feel like Greek doesn't get enough credit for its frequently very good writing. Granted, it has its fair share of WB moments but Id say it's way better than Entourage (which isn't much of an accomplishment actually).
