I was not interested in Prisoners at all from the trailers as it seemed like typical kids in danger crap. But then I thought more about the title and how over the top crazy Jackman seems and how weaselly frightened the bad guy looks and thought the twist could be that that Jackman was abusive and his kids ran away…

Every kid I've ever shown it to has loved the Dungeons and Dragon cartoon, if they can get past the animation. I wonder if you watched the DVD on something that upsampled to try to interpolate the intermediate frames if that'd get it at least closer to current standards. But the story and art in it were pretty awesome.
