Yeah, absolutely, but in contexts outside of SYTYCD, that's basically all that happens. And Nigel DOES do it enough to make up for it.

Bent, BFF. If you are willing to shovel through some dreck for solid performances, Karine Vanasse and Kelli Garner (and Michael Mosley and Margot Robbie to a lesser extent) did some good work on Pan Am, and Phoebe Tonkin (alongside Jessica Parker Kennedy and Shelley Hennig) was fucking hilarious on the Secret Circle.

Unrelated, but it's such a shame that there's no way Allie Grant gets nominated for (any) awards for this performance. I'd imagine that if any single person has that potential, it's Cheryl Hines, who I love here but not to nearly the same extent, or MAYBE Jane Levy, who has suffered through some out-of-character

The Werner girl was also in the Thanksgiving episode, and her appearance tonight (like that one) left me wondering why she didn't connect with Tessa, she seems to have a similar outlook. Tonight moreso than that appearance hinted at a spark of deadpan Dahlia as well, but that may have just been mediocre acting.

This show grew on me but I agree that it lost a lot of steam in the last few episodes. I'm sad that Lavon is just a plot device at this point, and I don't get why Wade would miss his best friend's wedding with zero explanation, especially if he knows that George being out of the picture increases his chances with Zoe.

Fine, whatever keeps him off the Good Wife works for me. He's unwatchable on that show.

To be fair, the cinematography in Blue Crush fucking ruled. I even submitted a AVQ&A request at one point based on the idea of bad media with one overwhelmingly redeeming quality. Never happened.

Last year's phenomenal Higher Ground (directed by and starring Vera Farmiga) set such a high standard for movies about religion that are even-handed. As someone raised (only vaguely) around religion who is a giant atheist, I can whole-heartedly recommend it to the godless and be-God'd(?) alike. Best movie of 2011.

I thought that her role on Girls would prevent Zosia Mamet from showing up as Joyce this season, SO GLAD I WAS WRONG. She's my favorite supporting character and I hope she's back like every week. Mad Men, US of Tara, Parenthood (which I don't watch but still), and a Lena Dunham joint? Girl has bypassed Alison Brie in

Oh, Genevieve, thank you. Hope he talks about Sarah Hagan- I'm sad Beers and Weirs got discussed without my favorite (comedic) moment of the series where she's at the piano.

Has it seemed like since the show returned from hiatus that Diana and Faye have gotten worse and suddenly Melissa is in a 15-second-long much better show by herself? That scene last week with her and Joe Lando was weirdly powerful.

To clarify, I don't care for the Darryl/Val storyline, but Val as a character seems weirdly…human? At least for this show.

I will say that despite the fact that they have yet to do anything useful with the Val/Darryl relationship that Val is the only remotely positive addition to the show since Erin. I hope Ameenah Kaplan gets some solid regular TV work after this.

I think part of the problem of the last couple seasons of this show is that Ellie Kemper has established herself so quickly as a powerhouse performer capable of weird subtlety within the confines of a broad character that the lack of effort to deepen any other characters who have taken more central roles in the last

And what a waste of Cat Deeley, Earth's most likeable person! I'm spiraling.

I've seen every fucking episode of this stupid show and this episode totally threw me over the edge. Look, the vast majority of this show's appeal is that it seems to obtain new heights in the field of nonsense with every passing episode. I don't watch this show to get valuable information on the fashion industry or

I hope that in regards to All Stars:

For once, Willam's citation of her own IMDb credits read as fun/funny to me. Yes, you were on Southland, and you were actually quite good/not playing "dead transvestite #2." I'll allow it. The Willam "unchanging face" montage tonight was glorious.
