I have to imagine I'm preaching to the converted but the excellent Seanbaby website had a bunch of articles on Turkish versions of Hollywood properties (Star Trek, Star Wars, Supeman) that looked so Nth level insane, they were actually worth watching. I suspect those versions no longer happen, however.

There is an article on Cracked.com which lists ways in which Hollywood proves it doesn't understand computers. My favorite is some CBS procedural where the danger is SO great that the only way for the tech guys to fight it is for two of them to bang away at the keyboard.
