Yeah, I can never tell how the show wants us to feel about Mary and Francis's relationship. There certainly seem to be a lot of ~youths~ on tumblr making romantic gifsets of Frary, but god, I feel like Francis has pretty consistently been a massive tool on this show. I mean, locking your wife (a queen in her own

Ugh, that story freaked me out so much as a kid, since I lived around that area. But everyone conveniently failed to mention that the murders took place in 1970. Kids are the worst.

Mildly bothered by the lack of female characters, but we don't need to get into that. Bigger problem: how realistic is it that Dinesh would be the only one who knows Java?

It's not like men have a monopoly on being losers. The lack of female characters isn't a dealbreaker for me, but it's just kind of a missed opportunity to have a decent representation of female nerds in the media, since they seem to be doing a relatively good job of not making the dudes complete caricatures.

I could only bring myself to watch the first two episodes of Betas (for some reason, its style of humor just did not appeal to me), so I would say that the first two episodes of Silicon Valley definitely beat them. Martin Starr and Kumail Nanjiani are always reliable; TJ Miller is an acquired taste…
But yeah, at the

Oh, that might be the case, although I don't know if she really understood/cared about the implications as a 15-year-old. I was mostly just impressed that they sort of included an actual fact, because…Reign!

The clause in the contract actually is real history, shockingly.
15-year-old Mary was manipulated into signing secret documents (without
the knowledge of her commissioners) that would let the Scottish throne
be inherited by Henry's successors if Mary died without heirs. But it
might not work as well on the show since

Uh, also the Richard Madden character in the original series was gay, so this is a faithful adaptation in that regard at least.

That would maybe be the most hilarious pope casting since Ringo Starr in Lisztomania. Hopefully, season 2 means that Elizabeth comes into play as well? (I know that historically she and Mary never meet, but…this is REIGN.)

Yes! And extra points if they manage to do something with the French horn solo.
