OMG those wigs were terrible!! I was just like, what is happening?! Very glad they kept it confined to one scene only for Rafael. I couldn't have taken it for longer than that.

OMG guys that proposal! *Swoons* And Rafael's sweaty core… *swoons some more*
Yes, it did get a little bit strident but its a testament to Gina Rodriguez that she was able to play it in such a way that it seemed believable why she needed to be sure. I would have preferred that she repeat her line about steps in life less than 5 times but its okay.
Why don't they just have Andrea Navedo read in Spanish? Rodriguez and Navedo are bilingual as is shown in the english version of JtV. I'm intrigued by this but the intricacies of the dub would be lost on me. You should give us spanish language Jane the Virgin reviews every week. :)
Michael got some really good bits this episode but it ended with me wanting to give Rafael a big hug because of his sadness. And also because abs…
Same here! It was so odd but so perfect!
It should do well. Its getting great press and Netflix is a friendlier home for it than NBC would've ever been.
I thought this episode was one of the funniest of the first 4. The spiderman audition sequence in particular had me in stitches.
Especially her shell shocked expression at the end. lol
Whatever you jerk face! I can have a meltdown if I want!
This is everybody's reaction everytime apple comes out with a new gizmo and then once the thing is available they fly off the shelves and suddenly the whole world is walking around with the latest iDoodad and you're left feeling alone in a post-apocalyptic wasteland screaming, why me??!
Certainly the absurdity is the point for the show but my criticism is that the joke doesn't land (for me, personally) as it pulls me out of the story in order to try and puzzle it out.
Yeah none of those adjectives apply here either but I've had success with fitted and more constructed shirt-dresses. Basically ones that will skim the curves.
I think that definitely is an extreme reaction but it kind of dragged me out of the story since I paused my binge watch to come here and check out people's reactions. Based on that, it doesn't succeed too well.
Yeah same here. It kind of makes me pause and try to figure out how this would even work especially since her (show) parents are pretty brown. Lots of Native Americans have quite pale skin (at least the ones where I live do) but this was just weird. I love the show and it feels a little odd to have this be Jane…
Probably the one who got the ambush makeover. Kemper is awesome and cute but the other one was def prettier in a classic sense.
I would watch the version of the show that didn't have Josh Duhamel and Russ Agnew* in it. I basically checked it out because of Kal Penn and the rest of the ensemble was a pleasant surprise but the leads kept dragging it down.
You've actually convinced me to watch The Mysteries of Laura. I'd given it a miss because of bad reviews but I shall now check it out and try not to judge too harshly in the earlier episodes.
I knew the Israeli bits of the pilot were non sucky and I'm glad to have my intuition corroborated! I really liked the actor who plays Golan Cohen and if they recast (or at least, re-characterise) all the American's I would probably watch this show. As it stands though, no way.
You have to be completely flat-chested and with the hips of a boy for them to look anything like they looked on that chick. Being really tall and with a straight figure basically.
