Which chick???!

Yup the full hair and makeup thing at all hours of the day and night was a big bugbear for me too.

Well it already has salmon ladders, map tattoos and meth labs*, a crazy lady with a talking doll can only make it better.

I see your Dad's influence here ;)

But did you watch the old or the (apparently) new Mahabharata?

Oh so the evil M-i-l died? Wow that is interesting. I think actually Kapoor's shows did manage to work in some interesting stories. They were just framed by boring melodrama, a glacial pace and tacky production values. But to give credit where its due, they both depicted women in positive ways and had them assume

Yes, I think the writers have done a good job of grounding Rafael into someone real from the guy whose biceps Jane was mooning over a couple months ago. Its squeeful. Which is totally an adjective.

Lol, I'll risk it…I guess.

She was in it for the hot lesbian sex?

Oh lord that sounds terrible! Now that you mention it I remember some vague rumblings about a new Mahabharata last time I was home. Sounds appalling.

Jamie Camil deserves an MVP award just for that final death scene where he managed to convey genuine pathos at finding a long-lost son (it was easy for us viewers to connect that with how he felt about Jane) and also the aftermath where he gracefully accepted the kudos as his due and *loved* that Jane called him dad.

I still really enjoy the LLN. I know voice-overs can get annoying and his delightfulness peaked for me a few episodes back but now he is just another part of the show's exposition and doesn't ever distract me from the episode.

Hahaha, I have fond memories of the Mahabharata back from when I was about 5 but I would *not* revisit it now. All the sparkly gold will just be crazy tacky and omg I can just imagine the stilted dialogue. I feel for you. lol

Oh, I forgot Scott for a second. Maybe he and Rose are in cahoots! That would explain a lot of stuff…

That sounds charming. :)

That's what I thought!

I thought that was genuinely brilliant as well. And it lent so much gravity to Rogelio's death scene with Jane tearing up. In the world of the show, it was definitely the best death scene ever. Loved it!

Its fun in a very Xena and Hercules way. I enjoyed it. It was definitely better than the books. (I hate the shitty objectivist-ness of the books).

I'm Indian too!! Also, our telenovelas are insane and I hated and couldn't tear myself away the one year I was at home and my mom was addicted to them. Which ones did you watch?

That's a simplistic reading. She had asked him specifically whether he was going after Rafael because of his feelings for Jane and he absolutely was. If she cannot trust him to be honest with her how can she rely on her partner? She's let him bend too many rules already.
