Well Depp said it was Roman Polanski's fault if Polanski didn't like Depp's performance in the 9th Gate.

I loved the book, and thought both films messed it up in different irritating ways. So I reckon you're on MY lawn.

He called it a remake, as if the new film was copying his film, rather than being just another version, or as if his film was definitive in some way, when it departed from the source in just as many pointless ways as the Burton version.

A girl? Then come give me a kiss kiss.

It's not a remake - it's another adaptation of the same source. It doesn't take anything from the first version that wasn't already in the book. Some parts of it are closer to the book, other parts are a departure, but the Wilder version departed significantly from the book in some ways too. The book had no scene

This should be worth seeing, going by the rule that all odd-numbered Hatchet movies are good.

Yes - if it's a bird or a plane, who cares?

The 'Beautiful' song is arguably even worse. Why would anyone want to listen to a good-looking rich woman sing about how beautiful she is? Yeah, we get it - you've got everything going for you, we'll. done.

That's funny, I was just reading the bad review for Boards of Canada and wondered if Peter S had read it, as he was really excited about the album coming out.

But the TV series had him flying, so the 'leaping' claim was no longer needed. I guess they figured it sounded better than simply saying 'He can fly!'.

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound? Isn't that kind of by-the-by when he can also easily just FLY over it?

And who still likes HIM?

There's a 'bit of a stretch' joke there somewhere, but I'm too lazy to make it. You know, cos they're doing the splits and that.

Not heard either of them.

For ages I though people were talking about the Elliot Smith song. Then I figured it was unlikely that there'd suddenly be loads of references and memes about a relatively old and obscure song. I now gather it's a big hit for some singer. Google will take you further, I can't be bothered.

Because it's not quite special enough to be 'singled out' for an A.
Yeah? You get it? That gag was for the MTV nerds out there. Let's hear it for the nerds! Eh?

As much butt as he can eat.

As long as you can spell Dr. Hfuhruhurr, you're all right with me. But can you pronounce it? A looooooot of people get that wrong.
