I am finding out I'm in the minority opinion (as evidenced by the minus 9 on the post), but I feel like Seinfeld is somewhere on the evolutionary scale that the next level of sitcoms took notes from and improved upon. A show like Better off Ted or Archer uses Sienfeld's twisting plots where everything comes together

I have a fascination with Jenny McCarthy, I remember her from her modeling days and now I hear she's like a soccer mom so I watched a couple episodes. I like the show on the whole better than Live with Regis or Kelly, Today Show, or GMA.

Well, Big Bang Theory is pretty good. Subpar shows have always been atop the ratings.

no, because I think Matt Lauer is ok and not an asshole as far as I can telll. so…

He really talks up that yogurt, I saw him on the View yesterday and he wouldn't stop talking about the yogurt

Matt Lauer is one of the three biggest assholes on TV? I'd place him easily ahead of Al Roker and Jay Leno and well, a lot of people.

that is one great Reddit AMA. My favorite part was how they sometimes talked in character to fuck with fans.

I have not watched Seinfeld in at least a decade. To me it seems somewhat outdated and I feel like it captured the public imagination in ways that I feel like shows today should. I feel like if people say "Seinfeld is the best show ever" then they likely stopped watching TV 10 years ago.

The Golden Globes had Coldplay and T-Bone Burnett, Taylor Swift, and Timberlake in contention. I'm kind of glad that Timberlake won't be nominated for an Oscar, he gets nominated for everything. I think it will be awesome that Pharell will be an Oscar nominee.

You have a smattering of points, but I do agree that TNG was a show with great plots and a great captain character but little good characterization of anyone else.

No, what I mean, is he treats her business as only slightly more eventful than owning 6 cadillac dealerships. Like in "Legs" he doesn't react very strongly to Brett being shot and tells her about how she needs to stop micromanaging her business

when exactly did Cheryl have choke sex with Lana? I heard it mentioned somewhere

ISIS really fucked up in the last episode in a way that they've never fucked up before. They got played, didn't shoot anyone, and lost profit which upset Mallory even more than usual. When it comes to completing their missions and surviving in the process, they do well.

You mean Woodhouse is a mole?
That would be hilarious

Yes, that's an odd thing about this show is that surviving and killing/incapacitating the bad guy is apparently not enough to qualify for success in the world of ISIS.

great point

He didn't bring guns to the meetup point and then tried to retrieve the money back?
I don't think that's that bad

Actually, James Bond does that a lot too. If he didn't wind up in bed with the wrong woman or something and the screenwriter didn't have explicit instructions not to have James Bond die mid-movie, he's usually dead by scene 3

Yeah, but I'm uncomfortable with the Lana/Archer shipping, he's still too much of an a-hole to her and I don't think the show needs to be written that way

wow, do you have a link to his comment?
