Wow, you've really bought something new to the argument here. The first person ever in the history of Oscar discussion (or at least the last 47 seconds) to go with "the Oscars are irrelevant" ad-hominem argument, let me guess you're going to cite Dances with Wolves over Goodfellas or Forrest Gump over Puilp

They've been ridiculous for a while. Ray or Walk the Line was adapted if I remember correclty and Closer is adapted even though it's adapted from Richard M.'s own screenplay

Oh come on, George Clooney's a really vain guy (I'm so tired of people overlooking that), I would love to see him punched in the face, my favorite part of Gravity was that Clooney's self-involved smug persona (he was basically playing himself) died 30 minutes into the movie. Also, Clooney didn't even get punched in

wow that actually happened

How is the Razzie's any worse than Sean O'Neal (although I think it's just an occupational hazard and I don't have anything against him personally) thumbing his nose at pop culture and calling out its failures on a daily basis. And no, I don't come to read the newsfeed, I normally come to AV Club for something else

but Gilligan wasn't responsible for their plan failing much of the time. IIRC, they usually blamed Gilligan for screwing it up, but they also put him in bad situations to begin with, and a lot of time they just got screwed over by bad circumstances (i.e. someone who visited the island would all of a sudden forget that

Really?? I don't think I watched all the way to the end of the TV movie. I remember they seemed to have some trouble readjusting in the second act, so maybe that seemed like a fitting conclusion.

I think a good way of answering the question of whether it will happen might be to ask ourselves how much effort would go into creating those clips from an animation standpoint and not do whole episodes of them (which I don't know the answer to, but it would involve painting different costumes and backdrops, right?).

Cheryl being a country singer seems like the best one

I think my local paper (Washington Post's Hank Stuever) gave it a review that was still negative but suggested the show wasn't god-awful. Yes, he was entirely wrong

The FX and FXX already screwed with me enough. I missed some of It's All Sunny last season b/c I couldn't find the channel

I wonder if "Her" was inspired by Krieger and his "wife" I'd love to see a youtube mash-up of the preview for Her being intercut with Krieger and his wife

I think in that case the highlight was the interrogations where they all thought they were getting immunity

I also disagree w/Todd that the recounting experiences was verbal clip show, it was an anti-clipshow and hillarious to just hear them spouting off about it

So I guess the consensus is all that stuff will happen?

Mallory's always been shady, I'm not sure how this qualifies as that much of a surprise. Is anyone else sad that Brett is dead?

I disagree with Todd that it was as big of a game changer. In the future, I'm sure they'll just do some shady activity like they used to, it just won't be called ISIS. I mean, I hope it's not the Aqua Teen Hunger Force route where IIRC they start out as quasi-superhero spoofs and then they just lounge around in

I also had that experience recently with Family Ties. Although I think that was praised as adult entertainment and there was all this political subtext (the parents were hippies and apparently Reagan was president and he was the opposite of a hippie) or something. I didn't even think Michael J Fox was that good at it.

Yeah, but that's part of the fun

Christina Hendricks is from my hometown!
