I agree that it's the best show on TV. I still think this text was a little long about it? but still, Parks and Rec and Ben and Kate I thought were critical darlings, you omitted. I'm also glad you didn't put Louie on the list of great stuff, I find it awful

Take your complaints about site peddlers elsewhere.

"off the nearest cliff" haha

that's a bit too much timberlake. he's ok on SNL but every night on fallon? Did he ever make peace with the homeless people his friends degraded?

What an oddly broad choice for an inventory considering lots of famous actors guest on TV and often do so on more than one show. I would have narrowed it down to Oscar winners or done before they won, or after they won. I came because that stuff's my bread and butter, I'm always blogging about guest stars (http://sopho

I remember that line from a fluffy A-plot that was called Merdian or Memosis or something? It was a godawful piece of fluff

@avclub-40904cf5a179d97beb9f7f3f8c02e080:disqus I think that originally you couldn't beam a fetus out of a womb and I would have guessed that's the standard, but they broke that rule one time to come up with the Kira-having-O'Brien's-baby plot.

@avclub-1df8797177fc3b52be6784aacca7358c:disqus yeah, but they might not call it law, but that's a good point. I was just thinking they reduced lawyers, because an idealist like Gene Roddenberry would have probably wanted to create a world without them

In some ways, I don't even try to make sense of Star Trek on this level. That the Klingons would copy our court system is ludicrous. They would have too much pride to do that

I like Dax as the friend/confidante to literally every character on the station. That was a cool thing about the show (except maybe O'Brien?): That she had a unique relationship to Sisko, Kira, Odo, Quark, Bashir, and of course Worf

I'm sorry, what are these twitter feeds you refer to?

man, now you're making me scan my memory banks to think of an A and B plot and whether they had cross-purposes, but it's too hard of a task so I hate you now

Rules of Engagement was literally the first episode of Star Trek I'd ever watched. Never saw The Original and I saw people wearing TNG tshirts and talking about it and maybe saw a little of it when it was on TV, but I was in 8th grade and came across this on the TV and decided to watch it and it led to my first TV

I want to see a "Jadzia develops a weird rash she doesn't want to talk about" B-plot! Did that actually exist?

I don't know if I can envision this as a rap that's gonna top the interstellar charts like your other ones, Rapping Jake. These Klingon words will sound clumsy when you rap them out loud. I just don't see it working out if you put a beat under it

I know, and some of you  guys were like, "ehhh, one season's good enough, don't want to dilute it with bad episodes or a subpar second season"  and come on, a second season was obviously going to be awesome. The first season was mostly exposition and set up to the good stuff

Was that an attempt at a poem? If so, I'm not entirely in love with your poetry. Sorry, I can't turn my being critical off when I got on these boards

yeah, Laura Dern is an underrated actress, I hope she gets some more movie roles. She could take up the kind of roles normally reserved for Laura Linney, Joan Allen, or Susan Sorandon (not that I want those actresses to lose roles to Dern, but I could see her playing those kinds of parts)

Amy's not a very likable person. It seems surprising that someone as level-headed as the journalist would be after her. Didn't we theorize he was using her a few threads back?

I didn't really care for this episode but the important thing is I love the series. I missed me some Janice-Krista-Amy interaction and like it more when it focuses on the workplace.
