i don't want to add fuel to the fire and give the av club ideas (they have to come up with their own) but mighty morphin power rangers, futurama and old-timey batman as well as twilight zone (new version with forrest whitaker, was it?) as well

@olivececile:disqus  I totally think you're right there. It's simply that the show isn't gonna kill off a major character or let one be a mole with no build-up, but it did more to show they're chemistry and problems thereof. i  liked the way they all worked together to escape the jail cell. i think this was my fave of

I thought Eric's lot in life was due to his ability being not that impressive. A lot of people can tell a liar through reading body language too, and Rachel can do that really easily.

Original reviewer also missed the fact that Laurie Metcalf from Roseanne was a featured player at season's end. I'm so entirely confused about the status of the featured players here. Some eps. they weren't credited, the oral history book by Tom Shales says Eddie Murphy was the only featured player this season, there

that's such a grossly irrelevant thing to say from Rabin. There have been a very finite number of SNL oral histories and cast reunions (I think only 1 or 2?) that it's hard to chalk it up to anything other than coincidence if Murphy hasn't been present.

@avclub-4e7bc172ddd41cd4d4cb81eec370f5b1:disqus  that's suggesting that that's the only laugh-free SNL sketch they've ever done, When you think about it, that first sketch where Taran Killam danced in French had not a single laugh in there. It just had a weird offbeat tone. In later incarnations, they added the gags

this guy should be hired as an AV Club writer

I'm only annoyed reading this bc I wrote something which I think is of comparable quality http://www.toptenz.net/top-… that got 1/20 the hit count bc I don't write for AV Club and Kevin MacFarland does. Not that MacFarland isn't a great writer, but I don't think 1/20 as good. Oh yeah, and if I post it here, you'll all

nah, i'd take the money and make that deal with the devil

i like the bill-gary interplay a lot. chemistry makes the difference. cameron bores me. his power is the coolest, though.

Is there a TV Trope for the way that shows sometimes constantly hit the reset button on a certain aspects of character development in an arbitrary way that seems to work anyways.
Like, Bender's relationship to Elzar and Calculon. First, he stalks him, then he acts with him, then he decides to be an annoying paparazzo

I thought one of the funniest things was that Bender was coloring
