Whether it's scrutinized more in a sci-fi series with hard core nerds knowing a lot or not, it is one of the basic functions of tv show writing

@jerodast I agree and like that. I think Auberjoinis and Terry Farrell, if I remember correctly, had a  good attitud e about their work. Casual watchers of Trek before they came on, embraced it while they were there but treated it as great acting jobs

OK, I don't question Obama's birth or care that McCain was born in Panama Canal, but I think that  part of the Constitution that says you have to be US born is pretty solid
