It doesn't get that much better,. Silly episodes were going on up until season 7 even while the rest of the episoders were mostly extroadinary

@Jay S. so you're saying Bird's the Word isn't considered art?
Honestly, Modern Family would be a much better choice 20 years from now for syndication. Viewers wouldn't understand the references to the Iraq War, possibly Girls Gone Wild, Extreme Makeover, Carl Weathers, Liza Minnelli. Didn't they have an ark at the end with Sadam Hussiein? Kids watching that in the 2030's will…
Interesting discussion. I think that TV benefits far more than movies do. People are familiar with what TV was like in each decade and for example, I think the images of the American family from 50's TV has practically defined the 50's to people who weren't there. People have no idea that subversive films by Douglas…
I think the counterargument would be that most people who pirated the show wouldn't buy the dvd. they might say that to themselves when they start pirating but lose the willpower afterwards. if you buy the dvd, more power to you
I completely agree with Todd. This is an excellent related article in which the author confronts someone on youtube committing piracy : http://exm.nr/zuyYbh
i like seeing Jess at school with school problems. The show should go that well more
I think Nick should be unlucky in love, so it works better. I also think Caplan was wrongly cast, she feels like a Zooey Deschannel clone
yeah, exactly, Quark makes a good character because he's clever about how he pursues his greed. He's also more excusable than a capitalist in a non-sci-fi movie or film because it's biologically built into him to be greedy
but we're not all human underneath by definition in this universe. it cheated the premise of star trek that everyone would veer closer to human values (or more specifically, Western/American values) when they became more evolved or drawn fully. sci-fi shows had so much potential
i didn't like the joker either. he was omnipotent and motiveless. yes, he was supersuccessful, but only because the writer made him everywhere and everything. that might have been the point of it though, he was more a representation than a person, i don't know, i don't even know why i'm writing this,
I actually thought it was a Tim Burton Batman parody. Reminded me of scenes in Batman Returns and that was definitely Danny Elfman's music
he looks so nerdy, haha
why was quark attached to all 4 of them equally? if i were him, i would've picked Kira because hasn't she always been rude to Quark?
I wrote about this stuff all the time: http://exm.nr/mzJuns
I think they explicitly state that too in Figgins' office. Slushies don't count as assault.
i don't think it's too much of a stretch. plus, college admissions committees can be random too
whoeer does the interviews for these has the best job in the world. it looks like such an easy thing to do to. is it hard to convince their booking agents to submit to a random roles interview? it seems like it's a bit hard to prep for.
Caplan was too much like Zoey Deschannel to be the opposite of her. No one else thought that?
flatly written characters with actors who bring them to life, i'd say. also, i've never once thought of nick as depressing to be around other than the wedding episode. he's just level-headed.
