Thinking more on it, when you realize that the Chinese are the new moneymaker audience, it's actually kind of brilliant to just redo old stuff. How many people in the world even saw the first two Superman movies anymore? How many Americans under 25 have seen them? I think I saw each of them once a long time ago, but I

It's the avclub. They take their spoilers very seriously.

I've never been a big fan of the whole "Superman is the last son of Krypton—PSYCH—here's Zod and Supergirl and a dozen other of his people" cop out, but between this movie (which I haven't seen yet, obviously), Superman Returns and Star Trek: Into Darkness, I don't get why these film franchises keep getting rebooted

It's impossible to ever tell. The Dark Knight Rises was an A++++++!!! for the first two weeks, and then all of the sudden it flipped to a C- overnight and gets hated on nowadays for seemingly little reason. Neither the initial frothing exuberance nor the delayed blowback were ever the straight dope.

That first Tobias episode was tough to watch.

Pretty much anything would be a tough sell after he was literally caught with his pants around his ankles.

I noticed that the first two Michael episodes have an uneven reputation. I don't really get it. They lack some of the strong character work and mystery unraveling of like the GOB or Lucille episodes later, but they might be the two purely funniest eps of the season.

Can we at least have a good dark chuckle when that Frey wife gets her neck slit? Because that was an inappropriately large cinematic bloodspurt for such a moment.

It sounds like a positively toxic work environment. Not even minor pretense of loyalty anywhere.

That's a bold move to accuse someone else of emotional trauma, my friend.

Expanding on my previous thoughts, I think we have to conclude that Don's (and Peggy's, etc.) thoughts on advertising were genuine, and that they believed that consumerism was a type of style or fashion and that the products that a person buys or the way they interface with the marketing and branding of products

It may be giving Don too much credit to even assume his fantasy for Megan results in her happiness. I tend to think he's at a far more malign stage psychologically, and he's begun to consider the idea of a baby as a means to trap her into her proper place.

This felt like going through the motions to me. Way back when, people were excited to see the characters face the cultural transition from the 50s to the 60s, but it turns out it just isn't that interesting.

You care an inappropriate amount about cartoons and it makes you a pain to have around. Methinks you should take Handlen's review to heart instead of wishing for his termination.

Let this be the day you guys are finally willing to end this unspoiled fiction and admit that the words "Red Wedding" have been bandied about online since the adaptation was first announced years ago.

And just think how you guys would feel if Robb Stark and his mom hadn't honed such sterling reputations for incompetence, myopia and feckless martyrdom?

Viewers who were already planning to tune in to AMC tonight for Don Draper’s latest pouting session

That would mean more scenes with Tomas, who reminded me of Gollum, and was played by the worst actor on the show by a mile.
