Actually that's an interesting dichotomy. Picard meets Guinan in the 1890's but the Picard we know in let's say Season 2 doesn't know it. And Guinan meets Picard in the Nexus but the Guinan introduced in Season 2 doesn't know it. Maybe one of the first interesting ideas I've thought about in regards to Generations.
