What's wierd is at lunch I watched an episode of Newsradio and Jimmy mentioned Rue McClanahan was in the audience. A little creepy coincidence for the day.
I read they wanted to do more Holmes episodes but the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle estate told them they'd have to pay a huge licensing fee. So they stayed away for a long time. They asked again, and Paramount was on a different footing with the estate at that point, and got it all for a minimal fee leading to our sequel.
Double Chuck Me
I'm just happy the whole team is involved now. We watched both hours laughing and cheering and this is what Chuck is all about. It may not have reached the loopy highs of Team Bartowski fighting to the climatic sounds of Mr. Roboto but the fact they keep changing the formula bit by bit, even if we've…
Doesn't it call back to the time she freaked out in the Cortexifan clinic and burned her entire room? Isn't there something about claustrophobia or the dark that scares her? Something Walternate already probably knows? It's probably a bad idea to keep pushing a cortexifan addled FBI trained badass. Something to find…
The notion of infinity being science's sublime ties right into what I was thinking what the failsafe is. We've seen the Light at the heart of the Island and believe it's pure magic, but the creators have said we'll have a mostly scientific explanation for everything. Could the Light be a scientific power we just don't…
They all couldn't be told what to do, they had to learn it for themselves. Even when Jacob gave them answers he barely gave them any.
You can go now…
As soon as Jacob started talking about the reasons for choosing the castaways I said out loud that they were each chosen because they were each broken. And even as early as Season 2 I would say, "Don't solve all of your problems, it'll kill you!" Can only unhappy discontent people decide to become the…
There was a time Robin loved that Ted stole her a blue french horn. And now she has returned it, though I don't remember where Ted got a spare, and thinks Ted's moves are cheesy.
I could see Orion having something like that, something that can detect other electronics, but maybe his guard was down since he was with his family. Or it's one of those pieces of electronics that only sends things out in bursts so it's harder to detect. And it's not like Orion hasn't fallen for things like this…
Oh boy!
A Favorite Comedy Trope
Is seeing dudes getting lost in the eyes of other dudes. Morgan Grimes made me laugh, but Jason Segel owns this bit. Didn't make it any less funny though.
Time Pardoxes
Yeah, Firefly's scheduling wasn't the only thing off in the flashback. PS2 Slim's wouldn't be out until late 2004.
Fun Fact: Jorge Garcia didn't have lunch that day because he knew he was going to have a lot of chicken that day. That is all.
All right Chuck! I win the TV Show Renewal Lottery!
I read so much entertainment stuff that I was surprised I didn't know Natalie would be on P&R. So much so it took me a few seconds to remember where I knew her from. I kept thinking "Is that Rosario Dawson? No…she's a big movie star. Wait! Is that Roasrio Dawson! Damn it…" Then I remembered Dub Dub. Hope she sticks…
So "Whoomp! There it is!" was the joke of the night for me. Just something so specific about the time period that kid would have been 18 and the exact song he thought would have been appropriate. I don't laugh over entire rest of scenes a lot, but that was one of them.
I also would have accepted: "I assume she fixes the cable."
Who ends up with Whom?
I assume she marries her fiance because she's already made a serious commitment to spend her life with this person!
If Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel look exactly the same I just want to see the OP's version of their show.
