Wait? She was really saving up for medical school? This changes my entire world view. Maybe she really did like my personality and not my wallet…

@Louis Cannon It's cool. I like Halo too. Seeing the Arbiter get his revenge with the Chief at his back was a great moment. Excited for ODST? I'm excited for Firefight.

Don't forget, the weapons they were using would magically change when they went from the live action to the Matrix style slow-mo 360 pan. A pistol turns into a shotgun? That's just the majesty of a Uwe Boll joint!

I also want to mention how hilarious Jason Segal is on his commentaries for How I Met Your Mother. I'm sure I've mentioned this elsewhere but for one commentary he invites a director, who didn't even direct the episode they're talking about, and Jason spends the entire time uncomfortably, yet hilariously, coming on

I do love it every time the characters reunite in Lost. A big hug and everyone is always so genuinely glad that they're still alive. But I feel we've come far enough to break the cliche.

Because he gets results you stupid chief!
I'm a huge fan of the cops getting chewed out by their superior officer. You can't have a Lethal Weapon without one! I especially like it when they get to mess around with the formula. I really liked the first half of So I Married an Axe Murder, especially with the cop who

@Snape Kills Trinity with Rosebud I agree with you saying Don is in no way jealous. He knoes that woman's game and wants no part of it. I think this was further illuminated when everyone was talking about that woman from high society, whose name I forget, who had just divorced and gotten re-married a month later. Jane

I totally agree with those thoughts on the Joan story. Her husband was trying to maintain his own power throughout the episode but he kept losing it. Having the table set a certain way, being mocked for messing up a procedure and possibly losing a promotion. (Is that the read everyone else got?) He saw his wife with

I read an early version of the script where there was an entire flashback scene explaining that but in the end it might just have been seen as something that could have been easily edited out and replaced with the much quicker bit of narration.

@Leonard Pierce Do you really find the narrative unnecessary? I find the narration fascinating just because Dexter is such an unreliable narrator even to himself. He says how he doesn't feel but his actions are presenting that he does. He even talks about trying to do normal things to fit in when he does things that

Bye bye Peggy
I really enjoyed the Peggy story this episode. She thought about fitting into this Ann-Margaret mold and decided it wasn't for her. When Don stated that men want her and women want to be her it seems that Peggy directly challenged that by taking on a completely opposite persona. She was the man looking

@What Are You Looking At Sugartits: I completely agree with your thoughts on Gatsby. I read it in High School and could completely connect with just feeling so close to acheiving your dreams and having it slip through your fingers. I had the opportunity while student teaching to do a final review for Gatsby and hoped

As long as they play a charming little tune entitled "This is what it's like to F*%( on Cocaine." I'll never forget the time the music distracted me from my visual revelry and asked to my friends "Is this song saying what I think its saying?" Here's a taste from the chorus, though my post does not do it justice. "Face

2 White Chicks: 1 Cup

I did get to meet him once at a screening for Serenity. They provided us all things for him to sign but I also brought a Firefly DVD case. He was cool enough to sign both. He was funny, gracious, and self deprecating. And made a little sad face by tracing a tear down his cheek with his finger. He's everything you say

My favorite part of Supernova is when they're talking about things that had gone wrong and saying "If only this hadn't happened." And someone, was James Spader in that movie?, responds with "Well what if Jesus hadn't of died. But he has!" Which seemed like the strangest non-sequiter to end that conversation. It didn't

Favorite Parts
I very much enjoyed the little things in this episode like the expression on Bruce Campbell's face when he gets shot. In fact seeing that goofy look when he's running from the exploding boat in the intro while Michael is so calm and collected gets me excited for a new episode every time.

After a buddy of mine showed me a couple episodes on DVD I had to get both, catch up with the third season on instant watch and just finished watching my first episode 'live'. It's been a very enjoyable couple of weeks. Like a summer novel on TV.

We figured being the people who almost ran over Jim Lee was good enough. Besides, we didn't want to be responsible for a post accident period in Jim Lee's work like Stephen King. Though I wonder what a Jim Lee Duddits would look like?

We vowed then and there to brush up on all our Martin Sheen films, maybe not make as much fun of his prostitute loving son Charlie, and try to remember Emilio's name (again, this was the summer before Night at the Roxbury which was a turning point in remembering Emilio's name). We returned to my buddy's Trailblazer
