Yay that PE stretch is incredible.

RFTC is a good answer but I’d go for Scream Dracula Scream (a stretch including Young Livers) or even Group Sounds (first three).

Yay Dear You!

No, RTL wins on your list!!!

Basically any three songs in a row on Jane Doe, and tracks 2-4 on You fail me (my memory fails me re:titles just now, Last Light?, ..., ...)

TA!!!

I would have started at “Cupid’s trick” but, yeah, why not just say it’s four impeccable capital-S songs in a row.

Especially the first of those has melancholy charm in spades.

I’m really fond of the closing three of Combat Rock (not that I dislike what comes before, mind you!).

I’d have picked that exact stretch, too, the energy is at its super-palpablest here (to invent some superlatives along the way).

I really do love that album, and I might very well have picked that exact stretch, but there is more, great(er) stuff in punk...

London Calling would have plenty of stretches, obviously, here’s one great Sandinista Run: “Magnificent 7" to “Junco Partner”, the first three, and I suppose a relisten would yield another stretch.

So, what about “Don’t want to know if you are lonely” -> “I don’t know for sure” -> “Sorry Somehow”? - I can’t get over how great the first and third song in this sequence are anyway.

Yes, but Plainsong -> Pictures of you -> Closedown!

Kid A all the way! Very good choice! (Now I’m thinking about “Amnesiac”, last 3 probably, or somewhere in the middle.)

Minor Threat, 1st ep: Filler -> I don’t wanna hear it -> Seeing Red

And I thought it’s “Christ, what an asshole” that, in 60% of the cases, works every time.

I hope they don’t get too many mean-spirited comments from their support band Ageist, like

My aunt bought teenage me German-licensed (We Bite Records) versions of YOT’s “Break down the walls” and “Start Today” in what I guess was 1994ish in a Media Markt. At first the latter seemed a bit too much on the light side, but I grew too love it very much over time and when they did a reunion tour I saw them in

Mudhoney live is where it’s at.
