More!  More!

Get In Line!

Wouldn't her hair basically need to be white to get the purple to take properly or would there be even more bleach in the purple dye?

Ooh, ooh - I've got another one!  I've not bought it yet but I'd really like to get a copy of Mencken's Chrestomathy.  I had no idea what it even was when I first heard it mentioned on the show - I presumed it was a scientific journal! - but it looks really interesting. I doubt I'll get a first edition though…

Spoilers for S7  Yes, I know many feel that the whole of S7 was spoilt…

Yes, 'bloody' is definitely a curse word first, and an adjective to describe something covered with blood second, in the UK and probably Australia & New Zealand too.  Variants include "bleedin'" (ie 'bleedinG' but without pronouncing that 'g') and "blooming".

@avclub-ef99973d7ad5bfa438b1f8df442533e1:disqus Ah, okay.  I'd always found that whole thing rather a funny way to get round Melissa's real pregnancy.

A brief note on British Slang

I kind of love how quickly Luke caves re: the Old Fashioned Soda Shoppe once he realises Lorelai and Rory are for it…  (D'awwwww)

The other two re-watches I'm participating with right now are Farscape & Babylon 5 (obviously great matches with GGs…!?!)  Both Alasdair and Rowan read the comments and pitch in regularly.  There's a spot of gentle joshing but no bashing and the comment threads are regularly in the 250/300 region.

I'm willing to put money down now to bet that - when we reach S4 - he'll STILL be deeply unimpressed, hung-up about plot developments, generally negative and wondering quite why he pushed for the gig in the first place.

I'm interested in Luke's reaction too - half wondering why he doesn't step in but understand that he knows Lorelai can look after herself - and also Jess' reaction as he's been watching from the apartment.  It's probably one of the first times that Jess starts to appreciate Lorelai and recognise their baseline

What was the other show that guy who played Tristan went off to?  I was constantly getting it and The O.C. mixed up.

Wah!

*laughs so hard she falls off chair*

I'm that much older than most of you (I'm older than dirt, frankly) and I've long been wrapped up in movies and music so most of the references I was up on already.

I can't bring myself to 'like' this but I'm right there with you buddy.

I noticed it straight away too but it wasn't until Lorelai is accosted by the Pod Mums that the reason/payoff became clear.  That's actually where the wig is its most convincing too!

There's a third wig - the blonde one Keiko has on before the purple dye is applied.
