Not Just Ewoks
Jedi had a ton more wrong with it than just Ewoks. The entire movie felt like everyone involved couldn't wait for it to be over. All the performances are phoned in, you have to peer through the lack of dramatic weight to feel any kind of hint at how cool it should have been, and it's just a huge step

"The whole thing was shot on film."
Was it ever shot on anything else?? Was there video happening in the first two seasons that I mistook for the sheen of 80s cheese?

Thanks, Scott
for perfectly summing up my own reaction to Benjamin Button. I was sitting in the theater thinking, "This movie is fine, not great, so why am I OPENLY SOBBING IN A MOVIE THEATER?" Then I got home, saw my then-1-year-old son and said, ". . . Oh YEAH!"

Imitation of Life
I've always loved that two people in this movie, at two separate occasions, tell Lana Turner to "stop ACTING!"

There can be no reasonable discussion
with Guinan. The more sage and wise she becomes, the way stupider whoever she's talking to becomes. "Wait a minute . . . Yer talkin' 'bout SLAVERY!!??!!"

Poe
I had read all of Doyle's original Holmes stories before I ever read Poe's "Murders at Rue Morgue." I had heard that Poe's story was something of an inspiration for Doyle's stories. But I've never heard anyone say that Doyle COMPLETELY RIPPED POE OFF.

Favorite line of the series
Kill us both, Spock!

Pulaski
I actually love Pulaski BECAUSE she hates Data. Wether or not her bigotry makes sense, it's so goddam refreshing to have someone not totally in love with Data. It's realistic! I think a lot of people would say, "Well, he's got a uniform, and he walks and talks and does impressions, but he's a robot! He's a

Three Brilliant Comments
1. This season and the finale are naturally bound to be at least somewhat of a letdown, simply because that is almost always the nature of mysteries. The questions are always much more interesting and tantalizing than the hard answers.

If I hear "meme"
just one more time…

This bugs me, too. If Smokey built the bomb and put it in Jack's bag INTENDING for one of them to blow them all up, how is he not killing them?

Dead Data
There has never been any doubt in my mind that Data was killed at the end of Datalore and that Lore took his place.

This couldn't possibly ruin Alien
Because prequels are always brilliant and always enhance the original, right?

Sometimes I look at Star Wars and think that there never should have been a sequel at all. Even though Empire is better. But you can't have Empire without Jedi. And Jedi is the beginning of the long, slow, slide into why-oh-why-are-they-doing-this-to-me.

Fisher Stevens
I said the same thing to my wife when I saw Fisher Stevens.

It's no use. We're dead in space.

Fuck
fuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!

Exactly what I'm saying! Lots of people seem to think that the evil that's been released has yet to show itself in the sideways universe, but I don't know what that's based on. Everyone does seem to be doing fine there.

My greatest fear about the ending of Lost is that they are not going to successfully explain the entire Dharma aspect of the story. I agree that the button-pushing just doesn't even seem like it's from the same show as Season 6.

Also, the ship they were watching in that daytime scene was probably not the Black Rock, since we just saw that the Black Rock got there on a stormy night.
