The long takes are breathtaking, jarring, and totally in service to the story's plot, characters and theme.  AMPAS ignored the fuck out of this movie.  If David Lean had directed it forty years earlier it would've won ten Oscars.

Bettany was off the fucking reservation in G#1.  I'm not usually impressed by him but he scared me a bit the times he'd pull a Pesci.

Duplicity was woefully underserved by the moviegoing public.  That is a fun long-con heist/romance movie.  It's somewhere between Michael Clayton and the Ocean's movies, fitting since Tony Gilroy is the man behind it all.

I loved that series and Yondu was an excellent spiritual and moral backbone of the group.  Also a total badass, kind of a warrior/monk/hunter whose skills totally compensated and then some for the their primitivism.
