For the record, Elkhorn being a relatively progressive community because they were willing to elect Ohiyessa Smith was a plot point that was nicely underplayed when you compared it to Manning's racism being blatant.

Yes. This. I am in 100% agreement.

Yes. This. EXACTLY this.

Grant Morrison actually wanted to do a series like this once… the idea ultimately warped into his Seven Soldiers project.

Certainly my favorite non-Question line, although the Atom' s bit from the lab in Dark Heart is up there.

I think her Suicide Squad appearances broke that curse.

Despite the fact that we met his Earth-1 counterpart in a Superboy story. Turned out, he was a jerk, completely different than the awesomeness of the Kent Nelson Dr. Fate.

I think the way that the original Silver Age comics handled it is, shockingly, more realistic. Superman has to go to genuinely insane lengths to throw off Lois, and she still keeps investigating it again and again, because there's just so much evidence that not even Clark can convincingly explain it all away always.

Her taking away his nightlight probably hurt him emotionally.

I'd assume Princess Bubblegum knows better than to put Peppermint Butler in charge of helpless captives by this point. :)

PB is all about order, hence her willingness to allow the laws of the Candy Kingdom to hamper her in dealing with the Lemongrabs and Maja. Lawful Neutral.

And even that's not 100% certain. We've seen Zoidberg' s parents alive.

Busiek mentioned on his formspring that he originally intended to use that story in his aborted JLA run , making it full circle.

Yes. Yes it is.

One of those little details that make me love the Atom. Stupid New 52, with Ray costumeless as a scientist at SHADE.

Agreed. It's a shame that these two haven't really gotten panel time together in decades.

The plot I've read of this seems like it'd count.

Waller pulled the same trick in the comics back in the 80s.

I LIKED that they essentially stole it for Aqualad in Teen Titans.

Well it would be if he hadn't stolen his entire costume from Minimidget.
