Hey, hey, hey, this TVClub Classic, not the News Wire.

Rico and Vanessa were so continually frustrating. @JohnTeti:disqus has said before how Rico can go from eager to sulky in a flash, and frankly I thought Vanessa was emasculating him. The set-up was too "oh, they're banging," so I'm happy that got inverted when he walked in on his cousin and a dude.

It definitely wins for "funeral that actually seems like a shit-load of fun."

She did, in the Season 1 finale. It was her character's introduction, and they gave us a pretty good fake-out as she clutched her chest and then…..*burp*, indigestion. I also would have loved to see Gillardi keel over, but c'est la vie.

Claire and Ruth is so up/down throughout the series and on first watch it was frustrating…but watching it a second time as I did this spring I realized that's how it really is, you get these peaks but it's never permanent.

That's probably one of the biggest reasons I feel for her is how shitty Nate becomes during Season 5. He even tells David at their wedding that "I've already got Maya," and really hints that he's marrying Brenda so she can have her own kid. So awful.

It's weird how Nate gives off a vibe of having such depth and a knack for "feeling other people's pain," as Brenda put it right before Ruth catches Nate on his knees in the living room, when it's actually all style and no substance. His charm comes from years of being a handsome guy who knows how to woo everyone he

Agreed, it gave a little bit of dramatic thrust to show that Fisher & Sons is family-run, but I'm glad the Kroehner arc ends with Season Two. I couldn't imagine them having space for it in subsequent seasons - except maybe to have had them come back in Season 4 rather than all the muck that makes S4 drag ass.

She's at her absolute nadir here, but I really think they did an AMAZING job reconciling her - she underwent therapy for her addictive behaviors, Bern dies, she develops a healthy relationship with Joe, and while she cheats on him with Nate, she's realizing she wants to be with him rather than Joe because she sees him
