Fine. Perhaps not "total", then. But it doesn't help that they have nearly identical opening lines - "I was searchin' on a one-way street" versus "I was walking down a dead-end street", and they both keep echoing different gerunds in the verses, in the middle of a line. Hell, they both both echo the word "hoping".

"Waiting" by Green Day occasionally sounds like "Downtown" by Petula Clark. Seeing a lot of Green Day in these lists.

My first exposure to "Some Nights" was a mashup of "Some Nights" and "Cecilia" on the radio, so for a while I thought Fun had actually included a sample of the entire first verse of "Cecilia."

Erik Adams obviously ran out of time to write this review and paid Rabin instead.

NBC might even need to resort to SeinfeldVision.

Behind Marge. You can see her before the family walks in.

Hmm, that's a good one. The latter looks like perhaps a miscolored Doctor Colossus - there's a lot of coloring errors. The Simpsons Wiki is missing a few (like Sherri and Terri) and isn't helping at all. Who's the guy between Troy McClure and Dolph?

King of the Hill returns next week with Square Peg. I didn't have the review ready this week for a wide variety of stupid reasons.

I do like those in-character commentaries! Someone actually picked up the DVD rights recently and has started releasing new seasons again. 7 and 8 just came out in November.

I'll agree on the stiffness, especially with the animation, but I think the writing and characterization are pretty solid for a first season - though it does certainly get better in season 2.

I don't think it was ever made into an episode. It was just a script that they sent in.

Maggie is the only one I have. It's no fun having a mismatched collection.

That truly was the best Simpsons marathon ever. Now let us never speak of it again.

It's odd that they cut something in an episode that was desperate for more time. It was a decent scene - I loved the offer of chipped beef ice cream - but the song was so short, it didn't feel worth it to me.
