I'm positive I heard applause during the Oscars this year (when James Gandolfini appeared, for instance).

Frankly, you can go by Sims' commentary alone to see what I mean. He basically prefaces his review on the notion that if you don't like Lena Dunham and wanted her to fail, it's because you're either threatened by an outspoken woman or jealous that she's so successful.
I was responding to a comment that said "she doesn't look overweight."
I mean, she's not as bad looking as people say, and it should have nothing to do with their opinion of he rcomedy, but we can be honest.
Just the way they described Planned Parenthood made it seem politically biased.
Sure. But then the follow-up negated everything.
"Getting the audience to segue inexplicably into the Inspector Gadget theme?"
It didn't come out of nowhere.
Is the National really not just Interpol in disguise?
O'Brien is terrible. He shouldn't win points just because he's weird looking.
The Mooney-Bennett shorts are not always funny, but they always stand out to me.
Do people really think Seth was bad?
I think because I liked Kenan as a kid is why I've been so letdown by most of his run on the show.
She is charming, but she is definitely not doing very well. They also REALLY have to stop having her do impressions - I don't think she's nailed one all season.
That you haven't seen Scandal (really, by the way? you're a TV critic) explains why you appreciated any aspect of that sketch beyond the basic joke and Dunham's performance (which was excellent).
Olivia betrayed Mary during that escape plan (when the castle was taken hostage) and presumably ended up getting killed by Clarissa.
It's honestly more about how she uses it than what she says on it. The Tweets themselves are likable enough.
But he was cut out to be a lawyer…you saw why he didn't make it in that flashback episode.
They've never been great with Harvard details. Still bugs me (and I'm sure I've written this before) that they referred to the "place where you get square pizza" as Pinocchio's." Everyone who goes there calls it "Noke's."
*Apparently physical fitness was not a concern in the 16th century. How pukey did Bash and Nostradamus look without their shirts? (I say this as a jealous guy who couldn't pull the girls they could - on the show or in real life - but at least I work out!!)
